The ABB RER103 is a compact bus connection module for RE_500 series devices. It interfaces protection and control devices with fiber-optic communication networks. The module converts optical signals into electrical RS-485 signals and vice versa. It ensures reliable and fast communication in substation automation systems. It resists electric and electromagnetic interference due to fiber-optic media. The LON® protocol adapts easily for various industrial applications.
