Overview

The RLM02 module facilitates the conversion of a non-redundant PROFIBUS line into two redundant RS485 lines or vice versa. It provides flexibility in network setup, allowing the module to be positioned directly after a master, before a bus segment with multiple slaves, or before an individual slave. The RLM02 also enables field devices with a single PROFIBUS DP interface to connect to a redundant PROFIBUS network, acting as an active switch. It amplifies signals, monitors line activity, and detects errors for reliable communication in industrial environments.
