Field Installation Guidelines

The module shall be installed in a ControlLogix chassis slot with system power removed prior to insertion of the RTB assembly. All HART-enabled loops must maintain proper 250 Ω minimum loop resistance to ensure signal modulation integrity. Shielded twisted pair cabling is required for differential inputs, with shield termination performed at a single control cabinet ground point. Wiring routes shall be separated from high-frequency switching conductors to prevent induced noise on HART FSK carrier signals. Terminal block seating must be verified before energizing backplane power.
