The Emerson EPRO displacement solution built around PR6424/000-121 proximity probe and CON031 signal conditioning module is a compact eddy-current measurement chain designed for high-resolution monitoring of rotating machinery dynamics.
The probe provides direct non-contact measurement of shaft movement, while the CON031 unit performs signal linearization, scaling, and conversion into standardized industrial outputs suitable for protection and control systems.

Operating Principle
The system operates through electromagnetic induction. The probe generates a high-frequency field at the sensing tip, and changes in the distance to the conductive target alter eddy-current response characteristics. These variations are translated into proportional electrical signals and processed by the CON031 module into usable engineering values.
The architecture supports both static positioning and dynamic vibration analysis in harsh industrial environments.
